1. What does the title mean in relation to the film as a whole?
The title gives a gasp of the story, making it mysterious and curious for others to be driven by their own curiosity. The title was not very revealing, that it would be to spoil the whole content of the story, making it thrilling to watch  for viewers to be amaze to what the story can contribute in means of values and lessons in life. The story talks about the life of a person, thinking its only one and we too can have an extraordinary life if we permit ourselves to in another way or point of view.

2. Among the characters, to whom can you relate to?
I as a normal person can really relate my self to the main protagonist of the story which is Pi. Why? Like him we can encounter tons of revelations and directions in life and it could be harsh as the blistering winds and clashing waves of the story. We can be deceived by beauty not knowing what danger there would be and we can meet people that would do anything to survive not knowing they are stepping on others foot, and lastly we can also encounter least expected persons to accompany us in this journey of life. Who knows who? Who knows what we may pass through in this world for in Gods hand and our feet, we can shape our one life and carve our own history.

3. Which part of the presentation struck you the most? Why?
What struck me most is the courage Pi have shown to survive. Even the threat of his life survived and depended on him. No one I know would do the same way Pi did, accepting the Tiger and was able to tame it in accordance of his will to survive too. A normal person would eventually kill any threat of his life may use it to survive but no, Pi did a miracle and again it gives a deep symbolic meaning within for us to dig deep.

4. What is the movie’s message?
In my own understanding, the meaning of the whole story is that life is full of challenges like the tales plot. It may be dangerous, lively, deceiving, lonely that could be but with the right faith Hope comes in through the window. Like any instinct, we need to survive and live the right life God offered.

5. Did I like this in general? Why?
Yes I do like it for it’s the complete mirror of our cruel world. The story was no other story I have heard and I learned much to the symbolism it illustrated. In our era of science fiction and the like this classic film made a change by the time its released, and allot of literate persons did enjoy this movie much.

6. Did I agree with the main theme/purpose? Why or why not?
I agree to its main theme and purpose that It’s made to entertain, inform and persuade viewers to live free and courageously. It’s entertaining for there are slight humor added to give light to its seriousness and its pretty much informative and persuasive like deep poets are. Only those with a open view of the whole story are also those persons who really enjoyed the story.

7. What specifically did I like/dislike? Why?
I really like the part where Pi sees the tiger as a friend opposing to the understanding of his father. Where he befriend a carnivorous creature out of his curiosity. I like it because we can meditate I two perspective and it is the way of Pi and his father. Both opinion are truthful but its up to us what should we believe.
8. Are there any aspects of theme which are left ambiguous at the end? Why?
No, they were all complete and its up to us to how we interpret this theme of the story.

9. How does this film relate to the things that are happening in your life?
Students like me that enjoys the luxury of financial stability our parents work on, tend to forget the cruelty and blessing of life. By the time that we too are on the job to gain revenue, there we will understand the hardship and reality of living. The film is able to awaken me to my day dreaming and was snapping my attention to give focus to what I have and appreciate it. Other people are not like us that enjoys shelter, food, love and education at the same time and its our job to equip ourselves with the harsh way of Life.

The center of the movie titled “The Life of Pi” is the very existence of what we call a Miracle, which can be defined as remarkable and incredible, for it is unique, different and new to the cinematic world. When we look deep in the heart of the story we can find the truth of life that lies beneath the deceiving world we live in and the very core of our purpose, which is to live the mysterious world the Creator made for us Humans. The beauty which literate and critical persons can find in the story is comparable to an art with no name where it stimulates the very creative and rational minds of humans thus making it a complex creation that makes different conclusion, meaning, essence, importance and lastly moral lessons an individual can tackle to apply in its own life. It only shows how it was composed with deep passion to entertain and inform viewers what life has to offer. The partnership of the two main protagonist marks the storyline as far too impossible but if we will be open to see the different side of the story, there we can find the answer to why the story ends like that. Pi was extraordinary, uncommon and unique which made is character important in the lesson it has to offer to viewers, for we ordinary people won’t do the same thing as he did and that makes us viewers enlightened that drives us to watch attentively.
The beautiful scenes we viewed like the glowing water has a story and lesson behind, it’s not only made up in my opinion for I can say that it really existed. The glowing waters where the whale splashed were actually a product of invertebrates that lights up in the midst of darkness in the open sea and the glowing organisms are called bioluminescence created from microscopic bacterial activity, it can also be viewed in outer space. It only shows how deep and realistic the writer of the film is, relating the real world with the symbolic essence of the story. The lesson is implied and we are challenge to make the closest understanding of the story. Thus I recommend that we should be open and passionate in understanding the film in our own perspective for us not to defeat the story’s purpose.
